Here are some of the most common questions we’re asked about EVs and charging:

Amey is installing EV charge points in Trafford with the plan to roll out to other locations in the future.

To find out where Amey EV charge points are located, please download the app – Android or Apple

We are installing a range of EV charge points, starting with:

  • 5kw charge points on existing street furniture e.g. street lighting columns 
  • 7.2kW standard chargers
  • 11kw and 22kW fast chargers
  • 50kw to 150kw rapid chargers
  • 150kw + Ultra rapid chargers

The tariffs will vary based on charge point type, location and speed and will go live on the EV Charging app, once chargers are in the ground. Our energy is 100% zero carbon, and our relationship with our energy provider ensures we’re obtaining the most competitive rates available and passing them on to our customers.

We work closely with our Local Authority partners to ensure consistent, affordable charging is available to all.

App or Tap – our charge points are easily identifiable and simple to use. There are two options, our Amey EV Charging app gives drivers full visibility of our network, charge point information, charging session details, costs, receipts and notifies them of any promotional offers we are running.

Alternatively drivers who prefer to Tap can simply locate our charge points on all major EV charge point location apps such as ZapMap, pull up and plug in and tap to charge using the QR code or contactless payment terminal present on every charger – it really is as easy as that.
